Maritime trade container and cargo statistics for July 2021 have been published by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Maritime Affairs.
The number of containers that are handled at our ports has increased by 12.2% when compared to July of the previous year and reached 995 thousand 537 TEUs. In the period covering January - July 2021, the number of containers handled at our ports reached 7 million 159 thousand 927 TEU with an increase of 12.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The number of cargos handled at our ports has been announced as 43 million 266 thousand 435 tons with an increase of 6.2% compared to July of the previous year. In the January-July 2021 period, the number of cargos announced was 299 million 168 thousand 302 tons with an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
