 Incentive for Scrapped Ships

The incentive amounts to be given for scrapped ships were determined by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and published in the Official Gazette.

The number of incentives provided for the reconstruction of Turkish flagged ships was increased. 25 percent of investments for environmentally friendly energy use are covered by the state. It is aimed to reduce Turkey's average ship age through incentives and support. While contributing to Turkish shipyards with the investments to be made in this way, it is expected to have an increasing effect on employment. The amount of support per ton for conventional ships to be rebuilt was increased from 1 times the scrap price to 1.5 times. The lower limit of the ship tonnage to be scrapped was determined as 50 GT (Gross Tonnage).
