Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) reminded that it is ranked 201-300 among world universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) (Impact Ranking) 'Good Health and Well-being' category. IGU pointed out that in this category of the rankings, the researches of universities on basic diseases and conditions, the support of the university for the field of health, the contributions of students and staff to the field of health are evaluated.

Stating that 620 universities from 80 countries are included in the ranking, Istanbul Gelişim University School of Health Sciences Deputy Director Assoc. Dr. Arda Öztürkcan said, "We are continuing our national and international efforts at full speed for the sustainable development of our country in the field of health."
 
Speaking about the importance of the ranking, Öztürkcan said, “The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call to action by the United Nations to eradicate poverty, protect our planet and ensure that all people live in peace and prosperity. Briefly, these targets consist of 17 items and sub-headings. In the category of Health and Quality Life; We are proud to share the 4th place in the ranking of 32 universities from Turkey. Although the School of Health Sciences was established in 2012, in a very short time, it was entitled to receive the international accreditation of AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in Health And Social Sciences) in 2018 with its 13 departments. AHPGS is a German accreditation body that is a leader in healthcare. Our university and college have succeeded in seeing the impact of their success in the rankings, with their approach in line with quality standards and targeting internationalization since the day they were founded.
