Unmanned Warfare Concept of the Future
SAHA EXPO 2022 Defense Aviation and Space Industry Fair was held at Istanbul Expo Center between 25-28 October. At the fair, where more than 1000 participants from 57 countries participated, today's and future war concepts were shown.
One of the things that attracted attention at the fair was the robot weapon called "Sarbot", which is the unmanned war concept of the future.
Deputy General Manager Öner ÖZYILDIZ shared some information about the weapon developed by Sarsılmaz Arms Industry. The weapon has an action life of 1 hour in its current state. At the same time, the unmanned robotic weapon, which can be mounted in the desired caliber, has the capacity to be used in different works and different configurations can be made.
Both in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkish engineers spend their time on the weapon, whose mechanics, electromechanics and software continue to be developed. The prototype, which has reached the level with great efforts, is the first robot of our country in this field.
R&D activities have started within the further levels of this prototype in terms of design and projecting. Stating that it can be made especially in heavier and larger robots with the developing battery technology, ÖZYILDIZ said that the unmanned robot can carry a load as much as its own weight and that it can successfully fulfill its task in any environment and in any weather condition.
