Turkish Software Developers Joined Hands for the Worst Disaster

Two very big earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş in the south of our country and affected 10 provinces broke our hearts. One of the biggest disasters our Republic has ever seen, in which thousands of our people fell under the rubble and thousands of our people lost their lives, took place. Our people are still under the rubble, waiting desperately for help to arrive.
Many citizens and organizations in the country are showing their support efforts in some way. A group of Turkish software developers came together on the subject. The Turkish software team has started to develop a social media-based application and they have mobilized all their resources.
The software project, which was started and continued on a completely voluntary basis by Eser Ozvataf and Furkan Kılıç, who work in the artificial intelligence sector, gets its content and information completely from social media. After brainstorming on how to do useful work after the earthquake, the team thought that social media was used as the main communication tool.
With the software that has started to be developed, calls for help from platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, which are social media applications, are collected by filtering. Collected calls for help are made meaningful by mapping. The collected data will be marked on maps and shared with NGOs and AFAD.
The interest in the project is increasing day by day and the team is growing. Efforts are currently underway to rapidly improve the software. This is a very important step for what we will be able to live through and after this disaster experienced thanks to this application. We look forward to its implementation as soon as possible.
