Technical Tour
T.R. Istanbul Gelisim University Machinery and Metal Technologies Department Machine Program Inst. See. Coordinated by Hasan İlker Çeliker and Program Head Lect. See. With the support of Yasemen Karaman, he organized a technical trip to Istanbul Enerji AŞ within the scope of the "MKP225-Renewable and Alternative Energy Systems" course. Renewable and alternative energy sources are very important for mitigating climate change, especially in terms of energy security, and provide economic benefits.
Renewable energy sources can be considered as solar energy, wind energy, wave energy, geothermal energy, hydraulic energy, biomass energy. These renewable energy sources contribute significantly to people's global energy consumption. Renewable energy systems are rapidly becoming more efficient and cheaper, and their share in total energy consumption is increasing. Our students had the opportunity to see the energy potential within the scope of renewable and alternative energy sources, and to see the gain in Energy Management in practice, with the correct evaluation of this potential. During the technical trip in the company, the questions of our students were answered meticulously by the company employees. Company employees take an active role in the creation and implementation of energy-related decisions within the scope of energy management, fuel management, lighting, waste oil recovery activities in the field of "Inclusion of Electricity Production from Renewable Energy Sources" as their working area, in order to ensure the sustainability of "Energy Management". He stated that they have determined the potential of renewable energy sources and that they continue to work in cooperation with IBB and IBB affiliates in order to evaluate this potential correctly.
