Huge Increase in Solar Panel Capacity Worldwide
Globally, many governments, investors and individuals are investing in renewable energy sources and trying to increase the use of renewable energy faster than ever before. Of course, there are factors that cause this rapid transition. The energy problem between Russia and Europe is at the forefront of these factors. The reason for this is the desire of countries to reduce their foreign dependency on energy. Because the state of being addicted has shown that it is no longer a situation that can be tolerated. When it comes to renewable energy, one of the first things that comes to mind is solar energy. Solar panel investments have gained great momentum this year.
Renowned analyst Jenny Chase made a statement. She stated that they estimate that 268 GW of solar panels will be installed globally in 2022. In 2021, 168 GW capacity was installed. This means an increase of at least 50%. By the end of 2021, the installed power level was 940 GW. In this case, with the increase in 2022, the total capacity will reach the level of 1.2 TW.
The country that installed the most solar panels in 2022 was China. China alone has installed more than 100 GW. European countries will also install a total of 42 GW during the year.
It is expected that 316 GW of solar plant installations will be made globally next year. In addition to all these situations, it is expected that large investments will be made in renewable energy in the country with the acceptance of the inflation reduction law by the USA.
