First Domestic Locomotive Engine

Developed with the partnership of RUTE and TÜRASAŞ, Marmara University and Unusual Engineering, Özgün Motor is a product designed entirely from scratch in our country and stands out as all its license rights belong to TÜBİTAK.
The internal combustion diesel engine has 8 cylinders and 1200 horsepower. The maximum torque that the engine can give is 4,960 Nm. While producing this power, it offers 200 g/kWh fuel consumption and this value makes it one of the best in its class.
 
The use of environmentally friendly products is of great importance for a clean environment. This environmentally friendly, highly efficient and sustainable engine successfully meets the critical emission limit values ​​on a global scale. The biggest return on this will be exports.
 
All design stages of the engine were made in our country. There is a 90% locality rate for the engine, which consists of 3600 different parts. The serial production of the engine will be carried out by TÜRASAŞ.
 
This engine is beginner level. Production will be made in 3 different types as V8, V12 and V16. There will be versions that will produce up to 2700 horsepower.
