CIRIEC Sosyal Ekonomi Günleri Öğrenci Webinarı İGÜ’de düzenlendi
The CIRIEC Social Economy Days Student Webinar was held at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), where the International Public, Social and Cooperative Economy Research and Information Center (CIRIEC), an international scientific organization established in Belgium in 1947, formed the Turkey committee. There was intense student participation in the webinar.

As a non-governmental organization composed of experts and academics, CIRIEC collaborates with scientific studies and professionals, as well as conducts various European Union projects, aiming to create a public, social or cooperative economy that can be an alternative to the liberal market economy.

Re-elected to the CIRIEC Board of Directors in the past few weeks, IGU Rector Prof. Dr. Burhan Aykaç, in the webinar where he made the opening speech, emphasized the importance of the social economy, whose value is more understood during the pandemic process. Stating that CIRIEC meetings are held every year in various countries in order to carry out studies for low-income groups, Aykaç said that Istanbul Gelişim University has been hosting the meetings for two years, and this is a great success considering the positive statements he has received from CIRIEC authorities.
