Bayraktar TB3 Starts Mass Production
Baykar Technology General Manager Haluk BAYRAKTAR made very important statements about the Bayraktar TB3 model, which is the new version of the Bayraktar TB2 model, which the world has set its eyes on, in a television program he attended, which has many improvements, improvements and innovations.
General Manager Haluk BAYRAKTAR also gave a clear date for the serial production of Bayraktar TB3.
Stating that BAYRAKTAR TB3 will enter the mass production line by the end of 2023, Bayraktar said, “Bayraktar TB3 will make its first flight in 2023. It will enter the mass production line at the end of this year. We, as Turkey, will become a power that develops and manufactures its own armed unmanned aerial vehicle, its own unmanned warplane, and makes it take off and land on its own ship.” said.
The newly developed Bayraktar TB3 model, which has very important features, will have the capabilities to land and take off from the domestically produced TCG Anadolu ship. One of the most important features of the model, which has a foldable wing structure, will thus occupy very little space on the ship.
The engine system to be used in Bayraktar TB3 is also certain. The PD170 turbodiesel engine produced by TEI, one of the gurus of our country, will give the thrust to the TB3 model. The model will have a take-off weight of 1450 kg. With its 280 kg payload capacity, the model, which can fly for 24 hours without interruption, achieves a great success.
The structural TB3 model will show serious differences compared to the TB2. For example, a bulging nose structure, as in the ANKA model, is among the expectations in the TB3 model. The biggest reason for this is that a version with SATCOM added will be offered with TB3. Together with TB3 SATCOM, it will provide direct satellite communication and provide TB3 flight opportunity in the shooting regions where the satellite is located.
