EVOLOG LOGISTICS TECHNICAL TRIP

As Istanbul Gelişim University Vocational School Logistics Program, the technical trip to Evolog Logistics company on 23.05.2024 started with the briefing given in human resources. Learning the company's mission and vision, Evolog Logistics' position in the sector, its goals and values ​​was inspiring for us and allowed us to better understand the general structure of the company. Following the briefing, Evolog Logistics' warehouses were visited and comprehensive information was obtained about warehouse management, handling processes and stock tracking. In particular, he had the opportunity to see in practice the critical role of information technologies used in warehouses in real-time tracking of inventory, optimization of storage areas and minimization of error rates. Then, Çatalca Logistics Center was visited. In this center, detailed information was obtained on how export and import processes are managed. We received valuable information about customs procedures, international trade procedures and the effective management of these processes. At the logistics center, we also had the opportunity to see Evolog Logistics' large vehicle fleet. Comprehensive information was obtained about how fleet maintenance is carried out regularly, how detailed transportation planning is, and how important these elements are in terms of on-time delivery and cost optimization. Thanks to this technical trip, our students had the chance to see that effective management of all logistics processes requires great knowledge and experience.
