Held on January 12, 2023, the '10. Speaking at the Turkish Code of Obligations Workshop in 2009, Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ addressed the business people in one part of his speech and emphasized the importance of law and lawyers.
In the part of his speech addressing business people, Bozdağ stated that business people who employ thousands of workers will need to employ a lawyer, and if they employ a lawyer, there will be no loss, on the contrary, it will be a gain for companies. He said that companies employing thousands of workers signed hundreds of contracts on many issues, and that legal consultations should be made at this stage. In his speech, emphasizing the importance of work and workers, Bozdağ emphasized that another important thing as well as these is compliance with the law and fairness.
In his speech, Bozdağ also stated that the number of cases in Turkey is high, this is due to sensitivities about compliance with the law, and that a legal evaluation of a job while just starting a job can change many things. Dealing with the issue through the example of a construction contract in return for land share, Bozdağ states that legal disputes arise before the work begins, that lawyers who are experts in the subject should be consulted from the very beginning instead of doing black-order business, and that the consultancy fees that business people are afraid to pay to lawyers or lawyers in the first place on this issue. He added that they will have to give many times more.
