With the 7th Judicial Package, which came to the agenda with the statements of Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, it is foreseen that changes will be made regarding the time limits in the laws.
7. The amendments envisaged being made within the scope of the Judicial Package, especially the Execution and Bankruptcy Law No. 2004; Civil Procedure Law No. 6100, Criminal Procedure Law No. 5271, Misdemeanors Law No. 5326 and Law No. 4675 on Execution Judges will make the terms uniform. All of the application periods determined for objection, appeal, and appeal remedies regulated in these laws will be changed to two weeks.
The amendment to be made will have made the issue of deadlines, which has become a huge confusion in law, uniform, and regular. According to the current regulations, there were differences such as one week, some of them is eight days, some of them is ten days, some of them is two weeks, some of them is fifteen days, and some of them is one month, and this caused great confusion.
There were no uniform rules about when the periods would start, as well as how many days or weeks. With the amendments planned to be made with the 7th Judicial Package, it is foreseen that the date of notification will be taken as a basis at the beginning of all periods in the Code of Civil Procedure. Along with this, the individual rules that some of the periods will start from the date of face-to-face reading in court, and some will start from the date of receipt of the notification, will become uniform.
