According to the announcement made on Friday, February 10, 2023, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB), together with all bar associations, sends necessities to the earthquake zone. It prepares tents, containers, and portable toilets to be put at the disposal of lawyers in the earthquake area. Accommodation and transfer opportunities are provided for lawyers who want to go from earthquake zones to other provinces. Litai Guest House, which belongs to the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, located in the Çankaya district of Ankara, has been completely put into the service of earthquake victims and their relatives.
According to the announcement, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations submitted a request to the Ministry of Justice to suspend the legal deadlines in the whole country as of February 6, 2023, to prevent the loss of rights. The Ministry, on the other hand, conveyed to the Union of Turkish Bar Associations that all preparations for the issuance of a Presidential Decree have been completed and will be issued very soon.
