The practice that puts an end to child submission for enforcement continues to spread throughout Turkey. This new procedure was started in 23 more courthouses and thus the number of courthouses where the new procedure was applied increased to 102. The new procedure, which ended the enforcement of children, started to be implemented on April 4, 2022 and has been implemented in 79 courthouses so far. With the new implementation in 23 courthouses that did not have a Legal Support and Victim Services Directorate before, the number rose to 102. In this new procedure, all expenses are covered by the state.
In the new courthouses, a method more suitable for the psychology of children is applied. The old execution method had a negative effect on the development and psychology of children. Interviews with pedagogues provide a healthier interview environment for children. The fact that the parties are not brought together during the meeting is also seen as a positive aspect of the new practice. The primary purpose of the new application is to ensure the best interests of the child. In the practice of child performance, the child was exposed to the conflict and negative attitudes of the parents. In addition, making the child, that is, an individual, the subject of "execution" was rightly criticized. Many negativities will be prevented by the interviews, which give the child the chance to express himself and are held in environments with a high level of physical competence. The application is expected to become more widespread in the coming days.
