According to the regulation adopted in 2020, EU member states were required to comply with the union law in order to benefit from the common budget. However, the non-implementation of the adopted regulation by the European Commission has been the subject of a lawsuit by the European Parliament. The course and outcome of the lawsuit is eagerly awaited.
