With the notification published in the Official Gazette on the 6th of December, 2021, the Personal Data Protection Authority will start a new program in which the candidates for the “Data Protection Officer” position will be certified.
According to the notification, a type of position called “Data Protection Officer” who will play an active role in the process of protecting personal data is envisaged. It is stated that candidates will gain the title of “Data Protection Officer” after they pass the exam within four years upon receiving the certificate.
