SAYING THE GENDARMARIE “ULAN” WAS NOT CONSIDERED AS AN INSULT
In the decision of the 4th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals dated 25/01/2021, it was ruled that saying "ulan" to the gendarmerie did not constitute a crime of insulting a public official.
In the decision, it was pointed out that the words of the accused to the gendarmerie did not offend the dignity. The word "ulan" was considered just a word out of courtesy. For this reason, it was announced that the defendant should not be punished since the elements of the crime did not occur.
