With the arrangements made, if the crime of intentional killing is committed against a woman, the penalty for the crime will not be life imprisonment, but aggravated life imprisonment. Likewise, if the crime of simple injuring is committed against a woman, the lower limit of the crime will be 6 months, not 4 months. Additionally, if the crime of torture is committed against a woman, the lower limit of the penalty has been increased from 3 to 5 years, and the crime of torment was increased from 2 years to 2 and a half years.
Another aspect of the amendment is that it includes the crime of intentional injuring against women and healthcare professionals among the catalogue crimes. If the crime of intentional injuring is committed against a woman or a healthcare professional, the suspect can be arrested without further investigation.
