NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS TO INSURANCE ARBITRATION COMMISSION INCREASED IN 2020
While a total of 120,804 applications were made to the Insurance Arbitration Commission in 2019, this number increased to 128,878 in 2020.
A total of 128,878 applications were made to the arbitration commission throughout Turkey throughout 2020. 89.78% of the applications are traffic insurance and 6.81% are automobile insurance. 74.41% of the applications were made because the compensation was not paid at all, and 25.59% of them were due to the incomplete payment of the compensation. In 69.54% of the applications, the requested compensation amount was less than 5,000 TL. The figures in 2021 are expected to be higher than in 2020.
