A legal arrangement has already been made for child surrender to be taken from the bailiff’s offices and carried out by experts in courthouses free of charge. As a requirement of this regulation, it has been announced that pilot applications will start as of 2022, and the new procedure will become widespread in 81 provinces by the end of 2022.
Ramazan Gürkan, the Head of Legal Support and Victim Services Department, has stated that the new procedure will start to be implemented in pilot courthouses as of the beginning of 2022 and will expand in 81 provinces by the end of 2022. According to the statement, the proceedings will be carried out by the Legal Support and Victim Services Directorates and experts completely free of charge. Surrender rooms will be designed as areas where children can comfortably spend time and play games.
