More than five thousand conciliators, who have been successful in the exam held by the Department of Alternative Legal Solutions of the Ministry of Justice, have started duty. With this number, the number of conciliators who will work under heavy penal courts across Turkey seems to be over 32 thousand.
Conciliators play a role in preventing the opening of criminal cases and the transfer of disputes to the court environment by uniting the parties on a common ground.
