Child Surrender is No longer a Procedure of the Bailiff’s Office With the amendments made to the Enforcemement and Bankruptcy Law Number 2004 on 24th of November, the provisions including the procedure of child surrender and the sanctions to be applied to those who do not comply have been removed from the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law.


With the amendments made to the Enforcemement and Bankruptcy Law Number 2004 on 24th of November, the provisions including the procedure of child surrender and the sanctions to be applied to those who do not comply have been removed from the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law.
With the change made, the practice that has been going on for many years and known as "child confiscation" in the society has become history. On the same date, with the amendments made to the Child Protection Law Number 5395, a "Fourth Part" has been added to the law. With these provisions added to the Article 41 of the Law, the procedure of child surrender and establishing a personal relationship with the child is now regulated as a whole in the Child Protection Law.
