 83 Percent Conciliation Rate


With the application of conciliation, which started on January 1, 2017, as an alternative dispute resolution method in Criminal Courts, 83 percent of the cases resulted in conciliation within 4 years. The conciliation process as an alternative dispute resolution method in Criminal Courts started to be implemented as of January 1, 2017. From this date until 31 December 2020, 885 thousand of the 1 million 71 thousand files brought before the conciliators were concluded with conciliation. The 4-year average success rate in conciliation files was 83 percent. 223 thousand files in 2017, 208 thousand files in 2018, 239 thousand files in 2019, and 219 thousand files in 2020 resulted in conciliation.
