The President of the Court of Cassation Mehmet Akarca chaired the '2022 Evaluation Meeting' held by the Presidency of the Court of Cassation. In addition to the written and visual media, high judicial reporters attended the meeting.
At the meeting, members of the media were informed about the activities of the Court of Cassation in 2022 and various issues. According to the information provided, the Presidency of the Supreme Court of Appeals prepared 2 bulletins for 365 days in 2022 and wrote 103 news texts. In addition, 7 case-law forms, symposiums, workshops and working group meetings were held.
As an important work of the Presidency of the Court of Cassation in 2022, the Guide for Writing the Reasoned Decision was published as a book and distributed to the members of the judiciary. Decision templates in accordance with the Reasoned Decision Writing Guide have been uploaded to UYAP for easy access by members of the judiciary. In addition, 10 different seminars were held in which the practices included in the Reasoned Decision Writing Guide were explained. A total of 2068 people from members of the Supreme Court and personnel attended these seminars.
In addition, in order to facilitate access to the Supreme Court Decisions in 2022, the decisions published in the Journal of Supreme Court Decisions in the last five years were tagged. 26 different facilitator trainings were held for the members of the Supreme Court and 151 people attended these trainings.
Another issue mentioned at the 2022 Evaluation Meeting is the international relations of the Presidency of the Court of Cassation. According to the information given, 16 delegations from 14 different countries visited the Presidency of the Supreme Court in 2022. According to the data on the domestic delegations, 1480 people from 31 different universities visited the Presidency of the Supreme Court in 2022.
