"Sustainable Urban Furniture" Workshop
The "Sustainable Furniture" workshop was held with the first and second grade students of the Interior Design Program between April 18-22, 2022. The workshop continued for five days on the 17th floor of Gelişim Tower.
On the first day of the workshop where the concept of sustainability was handled, the program lecturers informed the students by the means of a presentation. The presentations were realized as followings:
Lect. Hülya ALGUR MARŞOĞLU- The Concept of Sustainability/ Sustainable Architecture and Ecovillage Analysis,
Lect. Dr. Nuran ÖZTÜRK- Sustainable Design and Design Examples,
Lect. Gözde İleri- Sustainable Urban Furniture,
Lect. Selin Rüya ÇAKIR- Sustainable Materials.
After the presentations, the students started their work by dividing into groups. All teams continued to work on their projects and exchanged ideas and information with each other and with the program lecturers during the day. Working in an efficient and pleasant environment for five days, the students had the opportunity to experience the design process.
After the production process of the designs made in the workshop, they will be exhibited at Gelişim University Tower Art Gallery on May 16, 2022.
