Mud House, designed from mud, creates a bridge between the past, present and future with its sustainable architectural project. Shipra Singhania, founder of Sketch Design Studio, India-based architectural office, is an architect passionate about exploring her country's history and traditional crafts. He designed Mud House, inspired by permaculture, in the center of a four-acre farm in the countryside outside of Alwar. The building was constructed using mud, reclaimed stone and local herbs to bind the roof, using traditional construction methods applied in the region.
