Perseverance, which has been collecting samples on Mars since September 2002, captured the solar eclipse. Mars's satellite Phobos, which is 157 times smaller than Earth's satellite Moon, entered between the Sun and the planet. NASA's rover broke the record for the longest distance walk on Mars with 245.76 meters. The collected samples will help research on whether there was life on the red planet billions of years ago.
