There are approximately 2,000 active satellites in space, and nearly 3,000 satellites are unusable with 15,000 small pieces around them. In the following years, the number of these satellites will increase even more. The European Space Agency (ESA) is on a mission to take out a satellite to collect space junk.
According to the statements, Russia, which has 14,403 space shuttle components and inactive satellites, is the country with the most space junk. The USA is in second place with 8,754 space debris, while China is in third place with 4,688 pieces.
