According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the total number of paid employees in industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 6.8 percent in January 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 12 million 676 thousand 268 people in the same month of the previous year, it became 13 million 536 thousand 984 people in January 2022. This increase was 5.4 percent in the industry sector, 0.2 percent in the construction sector and 9.0 percent in the trade-service sector.
