Gig Economy

The Gig Economy is a shining field that has come to light with the COVID-19 epidemic. This term, which originates from the music industry and means short-term work, refers to people who do business using internet-based technologies such as freelance and online course teachers, e-commerce entrepreneurs, UBER drivers, cargo deliverers and self-employed people.

According to a study by management consulting firm BCG Henderson, some companies see the gig economy as a chance to create new opportunities for income and growth, and nearly 40% of executives surveyed worldwide say the number of freelancers at their companies will increase in the next five years. Therefore, in the near future, companies' human resources departments will need to establish new procedures for these employees.
