 Drawing the Future of Business: More Flexible and More Efficient


In Turkey, thousands of employees and remote working experience with leading companies and research was done by Microsoft for their future prospects. The research results clearly reveal that no matter the course of Covid-19, there will not be a definite return to the old order in business models. Microsoft's "Work reworked" report shows that 90 percent of companies in Turkey have set the remote work policies. The data obtained prove that most of the employees who experienced remote work and left the adaptation process behind want to maintain a flexible working order after Covid-19. 86 percent of the executives state that the remote and flexible working model contributes to the loyalty of talented employees, while 76 percent state that it helps them attract talented employees to their companies.


Working remotely prevents the distraction caused by being physically present at the workplace, as well as saving time spent returning to the workplace and allowing employees to be more comfortable and creative in their own environment. The productivity of employees who have a more comfortable working environment and free from distractions increases in parallel with this. Although the outputs of the Microsoft report reveal that the effects of working remotely on productivity are different for each company, 83 percent of executives state that operational efficiency has remained the same or increased compared to the past.
