YouTube, one of the most famous social media services in the world, took a decision and changed the interface design, which means the front page with various pictures, graphics, and text, allowing computer software to be run by the user.
Although Google UI (User Interface ) is small in user interface design, it has made a new design that will be considered important for interaction. This new design also increased forward and rewind interactions on YouTube.
As soon as you enter the YouTube social media service, the difference between the main page and the list result pages is found in the preview-cover images. The video previews, which had sharp and clear lines in the old design of YouTube, have changed with the new design and are in front of YouTube users with an oval design. In addition, when hovering over any video on YouTube, the rectangular and sharp lines of the videos are replaced by an oval image with soft lines. Thanks to this design, users were asked to easily switch to the part of the video they want to watch.
Apart from all these innovations, background effects consisting of the colors of the content of the video were designed for individual video viewing pages on YouTube. Thanks these new designs, it was aimed to strengthen the visual expression for the users. Only users who want to use dark mode will be able to access the ambient lighting effect. Users who want to use open mode will have a white background.
One of the innovations made on the individual viewing pages was in the descriptions of the videos. This part has been designed and renewed within a more specific framework. Now users will be able to expand the description section by clicking anywhere in the prominently designed frame. By redesigning the Subscribe button with oval edges, YouTube has achieved a more inclusive and modern look with more oval and soft lines on all buttons.
