Brugger, who received awards for his designs and exhibited his designs, gave lectures and seminars on typography and font design in many schools. Brugger was also the assistant editor of the Istanbul special issue of Slanted Magazine, which was published in October 2014.
Brugger, who was introduced to typography at an early age because his mother was a typesetter, states that he trained himself on this subject since he was not an educator who specifically designed typefaces at the schools he attended. Stating that this job is not as easy as it seems while doing this, Brugger underlines that font education is a trial-and-error process and the more applications are made, the better and more successful the designers can be.
Brugger, who said that ideal typography education should include both print and digital media, said that today typography and font design are a part of both the analog and digital worlds. Stating that in the future, things will shift more towards digital, Brugger states that both designers and universities should get used to this situation, transform themselves and keep up with digital. Stating that the most popular typefaces will be typefaces without serifs soon, Brugger states that today the world is dominated by typefaces without serifs.
Brugger, who advises designers in Turkey, expresses that designers should feel free to work on their designs and create their foundries, adding: "Don't be afraid of failure, because without failure there can be no progress."
