Graphic Designer Utku Lomlu Wins Award in Europe

The awards for the best designs made by the best designers in the field of visual communication in Europe have found their owners. Graphic designer Utku Lomlu received two awards at the European Design Awards, where the best of the best in Europe  are selected.
 
Designer Lomlu created the ‘Classic Women’ series for Can Publishing. He received the gold award at the EdAwards (European Design Awards) for this series. Lomlu, who has the best cover design in Europe, was not satisfied with a single award. In addition to the 'Best of Show' award, he also received the 'EdAwards Gold' award in the 'Publication Design' category for his 'Classic Women' series.
 
These are not Lomlu's first awards. Utku Lomlu, one of the first names that come to mind when it comes to book cover designers in Turkey, has made a name for himself in both national and international organizations with his cover design for George Orwell's '1984' and has been awarded important awards.
 
Lomlu stated that his interest in books increased thanks to the book stall he had in Izmir, the books he read and the fact that his master's degree was in graphic design, and that this interest led him to success. Lomlu stated that he spent hours designing a book cover.
 
Lomlu said that in order to create a good cover design, designers must first understand and research, and then they can design the best face for the book. "If we want to be successful, we have to be passionate about design," said Lomlu, adding that every book cover should evoke excitement in the reader.
