Fairy tales have a big place in the children's world. Odeabank and Can Publishing started a project in order to make the messages given in fairy tale books suitable for gender equality by changing the sexist roles that do not fit the social structure, and to teach children in a positive way. To begin with, five fairy tale books in the project were reinterpreted. Rather than being weak and in need of help, the more courageous, wise, knowledgeable and self-confident aspects of the girls described in the tales were put forward.
