A Poster Design and Application Competition was organized by Çanakkale Municipality for the poster and honorable mentions of the International Troy Festival, which will be held for the 60th time between 9 - 13 August 2023. The results of the design competition were announced. The poster Design and Application Competition was organized by Çanakkale Municipality, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department, and Çanakkale Tübingen Troy Foundation.
There were valuable people on the jury of the competition. In addition to important names such as Creative Director Duygu Burunsuz, Creative Director, Graphic Designer Nadir Çakır, Photographer Blagoy Toprakidis, who works at Çanakkale Municipality, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department Lecturer, Dr. İlkan Devrim Dinç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Can Metin, Dr. Lecturer Özlem Uyan, and Çanakkale Tübingen Troy Foundation President Enver Sadık Yılmaz took part in the selection committee of the competition.
The Poster Design and Application Competition was concluded by the selection committee on Thursday, June 1, 2022. As a result of the competition, the design of Şeyma Altın, who participated in the competition from Sakarya, was selected first. In addition, the poster designs of designer Rumeysa Topuz and another contestant Feriha Türkoğulları, who participated in the competition from Antalya, received an honorable mention.
After the competition, the design selected as the 1st prize won 20.000 TL, and the Honorable Mention designs selected as both first and second prize won 5.000 TL.
The poster design for the 60th Troy Festival uses different colors, as well as the Trojan Horse, which has become the symbol of Çanakkale and is claimed to have been used to win the Trojan War in the ancient Trojan War.
