The theme of the 5th International Mardin Biennial, attended by 39 artists from 25 countries, is "The Promise of Grass", and the directors of the biennial are Döne Otyam and Hakan Irmak. The works exhibited in the striking historical places of Mardin have left the audience in awe.
One of the most striking places of the biennial is the German Headquarters. The building, which was used as a headquarters by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and before that by the Germans who made an alliance with the Ottomans, is quite fascinating.
