 Foreign Trade Figures for March 2023 Announced




Foreign trade figures for March 2023 were announced at the press conference held by the Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş with the Chairman of the Exporters Assembly (TİM) Mustafa Gültepe at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Commerce.
According to the data announced by the Ministry of Commerce, while the foreign trade deficit was 8.6 billion dollars in March, the foreign trade deficit was 34.9 billion dollars in the first quarter.
According to the foreign trade data announced for March, exports increased by 4.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 23 billion 596 million dollars, while imports increased by 4.2% to 32 billion 169 million dollars.
In the first quarter of 2023, exports increased by 2.5% to 61 billion 588 million dollars, while imports increased by 11.4% to 96 billion 489 million dollars. It was announced that Turkey's foreign trade deficit increased to 8.6 billion dollars in March.
In the first quarter, Turkey's exports increased by 2.5% to 61.6 billion dollars, while imports increased by 11.4 percent to 96.5 billion dollars. This deficit in foreign trade was the highest quarterly foreign trade deficit in the general trade system going back to 2013.
In March 2023, the ratio of exports to imports increased, and the ratio of exports to imports increased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the same month of the previous year and became 73.4%.
