 Export Mobilization Summit Held

In the statement made by the Minister of Trade, Mehmet Muş at the Export Mobilization summit, he stated that there is a slowdown in the increase in exports, but that they will reach the 250 billion dollars export target set for 2022 and there will be no deviation from this target.
He stated that 55 percent of Turkey's exports are made with the European Union members and non-EU European countries, and therefore a slowdown and a decrease in demand there negatively affected our exports.
He stated that although Turkey's share in world exports is 1%, efforts are being made to increase the 0.22% share taken from countries determined as distant countries to the same level. He stated that in order to realize this increase, all the travels, fairs and organizations of the exporters' associations were organized for these markets and efforts were made to enter the logistics and distribution channels there.
He said that 2023 will be more difficult for the world than 2022, but studies have been carried out on many main sectors in order to achieve the targeted increases in export volume, and they attach special importance to service exports and especially to the informatics sector due to the higher added value to the country. For this reason, he stated that they are trying to attract good students to the country.
He stated that they are working on the e-commerce law within the scope of the efforts to expand the sector, and that this regulation will prevent monopolization, develop the sector a lot, offer alternative structures and prevent being dependent on a single source.
