The European Union will abolish the export permit mechanism in order to eliminate the problematic processes with pharmaceutical companies in the supply of coronavirus vaccines. At the daily press conference held in Brussels, European Union (EU) Commission Spokesperson Dana Spinant stated that the vaccine export permit request will expire on December 31, 2021 and as of January 1, 2022, a new "surveillance" system will replace the application.
