Dollar Rise in April
In December 2021, the exchange rate, which exceeded 18.3 liras per dollar/TL, and fell below 15 liras due to the measures taken, especially with currency-protected deposits (KKM), was hovering in the 14.5-15 band as of March, triggered by the Ukraine-Russia war. As the markets finished a week with high volatility, it was seen that the dollar tested the 15.50 level.
In addition, according to Refinitiv data, it is seen that Turkey's 5-year CDS has exceeded 700 points, reaching the highest level since 2008. Source
