A meeting was held at the Foreign Trade Complex, attended by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TEA), the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Şahap Kavcıoğlu, TİM President Mustafa Gültepe and export representatives, where the problems of exporters and solution suggestions were discussed.
After the meeting, the exporters said, “Exporters' liabilities have increased. In order to use a rediscount loan, it was previously necessary to sell 40 percent of its foreign currency income to the Central Bank. In addition, we have to sell 30 percent of the foreign exchange income to banks. We have sectors that are affected by this practice. Especially the sectors focused on imported raw materials," he said.
