NASA Launched Spacecraft which is Planned to Hit Meteorite

The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), designed by NASA, as a precaution against possible future asteroid disaster towards Earth, has been sent into space from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

DART is expected to hit the 160-meter-diameter asteroid Dimorphos at a speed of about 24,000 kilometers in September 2022.
