Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı, in his interview with AA correspondent, stated that the amount of foreign tourists coming to the city by air between January 1 and September 15 was 10 million 60 thousand 739.
Stating that 6 million 151 thousand 948 foreign tourists were guests in the similar process last year, Yazıcı stated that this year there was an increase of 64 percent compared to the previous year. Stating that 1 million 23 thousand 861 tourists visited the city only between 1-15 September, Yazıcı emphasized that an 18 percent increase was achieved in the same process compared to last year. Yazıcı stated that Germany, Russia and England are in the first three places in the list of countries where the most tourists come. Stating that the figures are generally satisfactory for them and for the tourism sector, Yazıcı said, “These numbers are the number of foreigners arriving by air, those arriving by land. We estimate and plan to reach a figure of 12-13 million by the end of the year.” said.
