Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which has given intense support to the disaster area from the first moment, provided financial aid of 100 million liras to earthquake victims through AFAD, Kızılay, and AHBAP. Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which declared a mobilization after the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 and operates in 11 provinces, continues to help earthquake victims. Cooperating with different institutions to deliver aid to the region regularly and efficiently, Sabiha Gökçen Airport donated 100 million TL (5 million Euros) to earthquake victims through AFAD, Kızılay, and AHBAP. Since the first day of the earthquake, the planes that took off from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport provided intense support to the earthquake victims.
While 127 thousand 277 people have been transported to disaster areas by 803 planes departing from Sabiha Gökçen, 135 thousand 563 earthquake victims have been evacuated by 738 landing planes. The Malaysian government, which supported Türkiye and Syria by collecting aid from its citizens, workplaces, authorities, and non-governmental organizations in the disaster fund, sent a Disaster Relief and Rescue Team (SMART) of 75 people on the first day. In addition to the 142 search and rescue specialists from the Earthquake Malaysia Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), 108 military doctors, including surgeons, ophthalmologists, and pediatricians commissioned by the Malaysian government, provided 2 hours of examination, treatment, and care to the earthquake victims. A field hospital established in Adıyaman also provides surgical services.
