Workshop: Natural Dyeing Ecoprint
A workshop was held on 24th December by the Fashion Design Program of Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School with the participation of Traditional Natural Dyeing Specialist, Emel Argan.
The students used leaves collected from nature in the activity in which the traditional natural dyeing method was used. As a result of placing on silk fabric and applying heat treatment, it is ensured that plants such as tree leaves, onion peel and flowers drop their color and texture to the fabric.
We should support natural dyeing methods and natural textiles, which are also important in terms of sustainability, to take more place in our lives.
