Turkey signed the Paris Climate Agreement in New York in 2016 and has ratified it in the assembly by 2021. The aim of the agreement is to reduce carbon emissions, which is considered as the biggest cause of global warming, by 50% by 2030 worldwide. The countries that are party to the Paris Climate Agreement decide for themselves how much greenhouse gas they will reduce.
