 Futurebase International and Future Tech Fabric Design Competition


The winners of the fabric design competition organized by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB) have been announced.


Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB) is a leading institution representing Turkey's exporters of textiles and raw materials (such as yarn, fiber, fabric, home textile, technical textile and apparel sub-industry) with over 7000 members.
 
The final of the competition, which aims to raise the fabric design perception of the Turkish textile industry, to provide young talents with up-to-date information on world trends, and to respond to the needs of qualified designers and project personnel, took place on 28 November in Divan Kuruçeşme. Özlem Süer and Tuvana Büyükçınar were the competition coaches of Futurebase International, where designers compete by transforming their imaginations into original fabrics, and Futuretech, the innovation and idea competition organized for the first time this year by İTHİB.
 
İTHİB, which organizes Future Base International and Future Tech competitions, mentions ecology, which is a global problem today, as the competition themes; Eco-Solution, Digital Dopamine, Denim Magic, Renewed Health, Turkey Weaving Atlas, Technical Textiles, Smart Textiles, Nanotechnology, Digital Technologies, Biotextiles. At the award night, led by the Chairman of the Board of İTHİB, the winner of the Future Base International competition was awarded 200,000 TL, the second 150,000 TL and the third 100,000 TL. Among the awards are 6 months of foreign language education for the top three competitors, a visit to the Première Vision Paris fair for the 11 finalists, and a scholarship course at the Istanbul Fashion Academy. In the Future Tech competition, the winner / project team was awarded 200,000 TL, the second 150,000 TL and the third 100,000 TL.
