 Fur Farming Banned from Italy

Italy has decided to close fur production and fur farms.

The long-term efforts of animal rights organizations yielded results. Every year in Italy, animals such as mink, fox, and raccoon were raised for their fur. The Italian Senate, with its decision on January 1, 2022, banned fur farms and became the 16th country in the European Union to ban fur farms.

The deadline for the closure of fur farms still in the country is 30 June 2022.
